Self feeding help

So my son will be 2 next month. I messed up in the begining and didnt make him self feed. Well now he refuses to feed himself. He likes us to feed him bc it's faster I guess. If I give him food he prefers to destroy and then throw the food versus eat it.

Any suggestions on how to solve this?
