Is it tacky to post gifts on social media?

I didn’t post every single gift, I think that could be seen as tacky or bragging. I posted a group picture of all the gifts I received from our church family at our drive by shower with a note about how grateful we were for everyone who came and showed us love. (Of course I still wrote them individual this kid you notes.)

I mean it's a little idiotic to share so much stuff on social media. Now everyone knows what you have and maybe they want to rob you. 😂😂 That's a little extreme but I definitely think less is more on social media. Posting pictures of your house, car and belongings is a little dangerous imo.

It depends on the gift and how you word it.
Posting a gift and writing “Look what my SO got me! I’m so lucky! All you women whose SO didn’t do this, sucks to suck!” Is tacky.

When I saw this I thought you meant 'virtual' online gifts and was going to say 'Do they still have that option?'
It depends on the way you do it. I think it is a bit, but if it's a pic of you having a nice day or wearing a new necklace or doing things eg crafts with something you got it's not so bad. If it's you with piles of gifts it comes across as a bit show-offy and a bit immature.

I like to post gifts, expecially those that have been sent to me out so that way the people who sent it know I got it and I say thank you. 
Because I'm a terrible person and hate phone calls 😆
