I need someone else to just hear me...I have to summarize half this shit. It’s unreal.

I am not a dramatic person. I keep to myself and really try to avoid confrontation.

But my soon to be in laws are so crazy I feel like my engagement story should be on Bravo.

My fiancé has one older brother close in age. The brother got engaged to his on again off again girlfriend in February. That kicked my partners butt in gear apparently and we got engaged in august (we were together for 6 years it was just time). Three days later I was in the hospital (on vacation) for a week to get my gallbladder out. Ruined that Disney trip whoops 🤷🏻‍♀️

Brothers fiancé is PISSED we are engaged. Like for months. They have no wedding plans and are thinking of having the wedding in two years. Too long for me to wait for them I wanna get married!! So we said we were thinking of getting married in June this summer. She got pissed again bc she was thinking the same now all of a sudden SO I picked august instead (I’m a teacher so summers just work out better for me since I’m off)

Fast forward to their engagement party this past December. She gets drunk and pissed at her fiancé and they don’t speak for a week. One month later the engagement is off. Another month (I think) he breaks up with her and moves back home.

Brother is dating someone new again within a week. A month in he says he wants to marry her.

Two months in they have their wedding rings picked out.

They are annoyed we had a bit of an under reaction to their rings.

I can’t help but to be very cold to this new girlfriend. The whole thing makes me so uncomfortable. And they are talking about getting married before us now too like what?? This just seems so crazy fast to me.

I do not want to pretend to be fine with it, and have no problem showing my discomfort. The girlfriend is very rude too. She told my fiancé she doesn’t like my ring, and she said our proposal was lame (after we showed her the picture of him asking on the beach) Idk....There are so many things I’m not including too lol.

How would you react to this situation???
