During a random exam at the urologist the doctor finds a lump on my husband's scrotum. He orders a ultrasound the next day and calls with the results. He might have cancer and it needs to be removed right away. We are both devastated and not sure what to do. He's going to have surgery the end of this week and all i can think of is how am I going to comfort him when I'm falling apart. No one seems to understand what I'm going through, thankfully my husband has support including me but it seems like no one wants to understand or support me. I love my husband and my daughter needs him in her life. We are also trying for baby #2 when everything happened so I'm worried about our fertility especially when it took us 2 years to conceive our daughter because of my pcos, i want to get his sample frozen just incase something happens but my family calls me selfish for thinking about it. My husband wants to do the same but I still have everyone call me selfish, I don't know what to do so maybe venting will help. Anyone have helpful advice? I wanna help my husband cope

Update: My husband's tumor is positive for cancer but hopefully his surgery has now completely removed it. He's going to be scanned for cancer next week to make sure it didn't spread. Thank you everyone for your kind words it helps to talk about it.
