How many of you found that twins and an expanded family affected your relationships? Do you find that your extended family or friends have a harder time with it? I feel like extended family are stressed and maybe I am less interested in flaky friends 🙄

Everyone in my life with the exception of my mother changed on me. Friends and family. My twins were my sec ok nd and third children and I found myself single not long after getting pregnant for the twins. 
I was treated very badly even shunned from the church I went to. 
To this day I only really talk to my mother and my now fiance's family.

I feel like it’s not really their thing to deal with unless they’re helping you or watching them. Whether you have a singleton or multiples you aren’t able to “go out” as much, stay out as late, or be available at a moments notice. There’s really no difference for friends. 
I could understand a family member who agreed to watch them feeling overwhelmed but not to the point of dwelling on it. I have an older child and it was too much for one person to watch all 3 when the twins were babies. But in the end it’s your family situation and in my opinion you’re the only one who should be handling the feelings of adjustment.

I imagine it will change things, I already have a toddler so friends will have to understand if we can’t go out as much. We were supposed to have 3 weddings this year that have been postponed until next year and have already had people asking why we now can’t come. I would have thought it obvious that 6 month old twins and a 2 year old with my mum on her own isn’t really fair!
