I have quit my jobs (after a few years) because inevitably they've all made me depressed or burned me out, or just been too hard on my mental health in general. But I am a sensitive and pretty empathetic/emotional person and I chose what I'd consider difficult jobs - working retail which sucks the soul out of me, and being a Cna in a locked unit for dementia residents. Super rewarding amazing job but after a few years I just couldn't do it anymore. It was too heavy on my heart and I always struggle with "bringing work home with me"
Now I'm a stay at home housewife, because I lost my social media gig due to Coronavirus. I liked that because I could work from home and still have my freedom and was not emotionally tied to anyone or anything. And now I'm 17 weeks pregnant and that's going to be my job for a while 😅 at least til preschool lol

Not depressed but it can be mentally exhausting at times. I still love my job and my client though

I work at a daycare I honestly love the kids I’m going to college for childhood development but I honestly hate my coworkers they’re very rude to me and honestly have me do everything while they sit back and do projects with the kids...

Depressed? Not really. Livid and frustrated? Absolutely.

Sometimes. Being away from loved ones and missing holidays or special events can be hard. But the pros outweigh the cons!

There are days.
I’m in an emergency room in a level one trauma center. 
My “normal day” is usually the worst day of someone else’s life.
It gets to ya sometimes.
