Australian law on paid parental leave?

How long do you have to be at your job before you get paid leave?
I’m only 4 weeks pregnant and have only been at my job since start of March

I think it differs with each job. At mine and most it’s 12 months.

To get Parental Leave Pay you need to have worked for both:
10 of the 13 months before the birth or adoption of your child
a minimum of 330 hours, around 1 day a week, in that 10 month period.
Keep in mind, we count 10 months as 295 days and 13 months as 392 days.

Its 12 months! My sister in law is having a similar issue as she’s started full time in feb and is due in December. I hope there’s some kind of loop hole for the both of you where the workplace can consider making an alternate decision x

To get maternity through Centrelink I believe it's a year. Then you get 18weeks paid.
