Missed miscarriage

Has anyone been through a missed miscarriage?

My first day of my last period was 26th February - my cycles are really irregular but going by the date of my period I would be 11 weeks now.

On the 5th of May I went for a scan, baby was measuring 9.8mm (7 weeks) but they couldn’t find a heartbeat. He also said my yolk sack had collapsed. I’m still unsure what this means. I went back for a re scan on the 9th May, baby was measuring 1.36cm but still no heartbeat so the sonographer confirmed a missed miscarriage.

If you’ve experienced this, when did you start bleeding/how many weeks when you found out you were having a missed miscarriage?

I am just wondering when my body will realise. My tests are still very dark and I have had no bleeding spotting or cramping.
