Acupuncture?

My dr keeps suggesting acupuncture, but I’m so nervous to go to my acupuncture clinic because of Covid. I went weekly for almost 9 months, then had to stop right before my retrieval because of Covid. My retrieval went okay, but I’ve heard it’s most beneficial before your transfer. I have a few months before my transfer happens, and I know I should be getting acupuncture, but I’m just so scared to go. I’m in CA in an area with a very high rate of covid cases. Should I just try to go right before and after my transfer? Or do you think it will not make a difference?

Clinical studies don’t show a difference in success rates between people who use acupuncture and those who don’t. If it is stressing you out, I’d say you’re losing any possible benefit so don’t worry about it.

I’ve done acupuncture for both thin lining and FETs- never helped! This time with covid I skipped the acupuncture and my lining was just as thick and this time my FET worked! I think if you can afford it then it doesn’t hurt to try but it’s by no means a deal breaker or else every clinic would require it to boost their success rates and there would be scientific studies endorsing it.

I know how you feel, I am in a very high covid rate area as well. I have similar concerns and am nervous if I get sick or test positive they will cancel (My clinic now makes everyone go for covid testing 2 days prior to transfer/procedure) . Things are staring to decrease a bit here now —-I am planning to start accupuncture Monday and will go weekly 5 weeks prior to transfer. My acupuncturist  felt this would be helpful and sufficient. She also reviewed with me their new policies with covid (masks, disinfecting between each patient , only one patient in practice at time , etc) which made me feel better 😊 Wishing you good luck with your transfer!

Iv been told acupuncture makes a huge difference in if the embryos implant or not. So Iv been going every single day for the last month and my transfer is scheduled for Wednesday at 11:30 so I’ll be going after my transfer as well every day.
