Admitted to hospital with low fluid

Brianna

I am 35 weeks and 5 days. I was admitted to the hospital yesterday for having low fluid with a level of 4.4. I have been on IV hydration for almost 24 hours and have been given one of two steroid shots to help baby’s lungs. I was told I’d see the specialist today for an ultrasound to remeasure fluid but was informed that I will be staying an additional day to let the fluid re-accumulate and that I have to stay 24 hours after my last dose of steroid shot to let it take effect. I’m getting conflicting information because my doctor says even if my levels are the same or better I’d most likely be going home but the specialist said the whole point of doing all of this is to prevent me from having to have her early. I just want to know if anyone’s been through this before and what the outcome was. Baby is doing perfectly fine, heart rate is good and she is moving. I just want to know if I will be induced and when that most likely would be. I was told perhaps 37 weeks but specialist said maybe 37-38 depending on what happens tomorrow. I’m not getting very solid information from either side and would just like some advice.
