Getting mud stains out of clothes?

My daughter got big splashes of mud all over a new pair of shorts & a new dress. I've tried the oxiclean stain spray and it didn't work 😫 what product is best for this?

I use the shout spray. I wet the area with the spray (stain side and underneath), throw it in the hamper and let it set until I’m ready to wash. Before washing, I spread the area again and wash.

When my fiancé comes home from work with mud on his clothes I usually just soak them in dish soap for a few minutes and then wash them and it all comes out.

Scrub HARD with dish soap? And drying in the sun should help.
