What could this be?

My period is supposed to come in a day, I have had brown spotting off and on for over a week & now have this. Anyone else experienced this? could I be pregnant (had unprotected sex twice in the last few weeks - most recent being 7 days ago)? Have been on a new pill for the last month also. Thanks!
