Help?!? He won’t stop whining

I have a lab husky mix who is expected to give birth anyway now. Her spot has become our bedroom closet. I’ve started trying to keep all the dogs separated but my husky malamute won’t stop whining. I put him in the kennel he whines I let have free range of half the house he whines and tries to break down baby gate. He’s only quiet when we are in the room with him. How can I get him to simmer down so we can get some sleep?!? He only acts like this when he knows we are home.
