Visitor Restrictions after bringing baby home

Okay, so I am a FTM and am trying to think about how to go about visitor restrictions after the baby is born and home.

Currently my husband and I are planning and have told everyone that it will most likely be just the two of us at the hospital, no visitors allowed.

My mother-in-law told me today she planned on being at our house when we arrived home 🙃

She is incredibly, incredibly overbearing and I just know I’m going to kill her if she’s here 24/7 like she says she wants to be (she lives 10 minutes away and wants to stay in our guest room when we get home).

She’s only communicated this to me and not my husband and I have been trying to give hints to her that, that’s not happening by saying things like you know, there are probably going to be restrictions in place still cause of the virus... etc.

ANYWAYS! For anyone who’s thinking about coming home plans, or who have been through it, any advice on how to handle?

I guess I’m also wondering if it’s normal to ask for space for the first few days or week for us to get adjusted as well.

Thank you! 💙❤️😊
