Breastfeeding until 6 months?

FTM here. I’m curious as to what “breastfeeding until 6 months” means. After 6 months what do you feed your baby? Especially since that’s all baby is use to having. Do some babies switch to formula easy? Does it mean you will exclusively pump after 6 months to bottle feed?

Answer

It means that they only recieve breastmilk up to 6 months, at which point you start introducing solids alongside their usual amount of breast milk. You are adding solids to their diet not removing breastmilk.
