Rice cereal for reflux?

Anyone thicken formula fed babe with rice cereal for reflux and gas problems? Our doc advised we try it and if it doesn’t work she’ll need medication. Any success? (We’re currently on similac alimentum)

I use oatmeal or rice depending which the store has. And it works really really well. Just make sure you dont put to much or dump the rice or oatmeal in way before the feeding. Dump it in right before you feed it to them.
