When did you start dilating and how long until labor

I’m 35 weeks exactly today and I went to the dr because I had an appt and I told her I felt like I was either leaking or had an increase in discharge or was peeing a little. And when she checked me out she told me I was 1cm dilated. When did you start dilating and how long until you had your baby?

I have been at a 1cm for a month. I'm 40w1d and no sign of her coming any time soon.

i like was 3 cm at 35 weeks and didn’t have my first baby till 39 weeks .

First I was dilated starting 35 weeks. Had him at 39 weeks and was induced.

With my first I started dilating as early as 28 weeks (3cm) and had him at 39 weeks (had membrane stripped). With my second I was checked at 36 weeks and was already 2cm. I was induced the day before my due date.

Its my 3rd baby n my dr never checked for dilation until i was in active labour.....idk how everyone knows how much is she dilated bfor hand ...... i m curious.... snd effacAacy is checked how???
