I think it was to prevent me from meeting any other guy. We eloped 7 weeks after we met, and he officially moved in 4 months later. He had to run out the lease on his apartment.

he “moved in” with me while i was living at my moms house after a couple months of dating. he was just sleeping over every night and spending most of his time there. after a year and a half of being together (five months engaged) we officially got our own place together. now we’re married, been living in our own place for almost a year now
