Baby girl came right on her due date!

Woke up at 4am on 5/20 to braxton hicks that eventually bloomed into actual contractions at @ 9am. at 12:30 they were getting strong enough for me to need to stop and breathe thru them so i started timing them. i was averaging contractions 4-5 minutes apart all afternoon, evening and into the night with ever so growing intensity. i was unable to sleep thru them so we called the midwives at 2am(5/21) and i was told to come into triage where i was admitted into the midwifery center at 5cm and 90% effaced.

I labored all morning when at 5am they gave me IV pain meds and that allowed me to nap from 5-7. at 7am i was checked again and only went to 7cm- i was checked again at 11ish(at this point im delirious from virtually no sleep and couldnt keep down anything-not even ive chips. and falling asleep in between contractions) and i was still at 7cm. i was devastated. about an hour and a half after my last check and with contractions growing even stronger, I ended up asking for an epidural. I was switched over to L&D and given the epidural. It ended up slowing down my contractions so i was also given a small dose of pitocin to get them back up. I started feeling the urge to push around 7pm and less than an hour later, she was here!
