Which age gap btw kids and why?

We want our kids to be close but I'm not sure how close, if you have any experience with these age gaps I'd love to hear your perspective!

Mine will be 15 or 16 months apart.  I’m due in 2 weeks,  my friend’s kids are 17 months apart and she was happy with that age gap. Her girls are bff.

My mom had my 4 sisters 1 year apart each, me 2 years then youngest 7 years 6 months. We joke that we didn't like the youngest until she became an adult... but it was kinda true. Also, our bond is so strong now. Three of my sisters have 1 or 2 year gaps for their kids. Another sis has a 13 year gap because she had trouble conceiving when they were ready for number 2.
I wanted a closer gap and preferred a year between but things didn't work out that way. I happily take them as God gives them. Our first two are 2 years and 6 months apart. Oddly enough, number 3 will be 2 y 6 m also.

Uhmm. Well if you want experience with 15-16 month gaps, I'm your lady 😂🥰 I'm pregnant with baby #3 - 7 months pp and had conceived her at 8 months pp the first time around. I think it's beautiful ♥️😂 they have a great bond already (1&2) and he was so helpful already by the time she was born.

7 1/2 years. I separated from my sons dad when he was 2. We tried to have another one but it wasn’t meant to be. I’m very glad my son was this old already cause he was so understanding and such a great help with his little sister... now he will he another little sister. And she will only be 18 months younger. I’m honestly terrified of it. My daughter is super wild. She plays dinosaur all day and climbs on everything. This baby will be smacked and smooshed with dinosaurs. I’m hoping on them becoming bffs but I’m already exhausted just thinking about this.

Mine are 14 months apart ! Very testing at times when they take turns in crying. My daughter has taken an interest in wanting to feed her brother rock him and trying to change him. My second was totally unplanned (pregnant 5 months pp) but I’m so glad it’s happened the way it has. I don’t want anymore as of now but who knows in a few years... but then I might just love my sleep to much so we will see 🤣

My kids are a little over 2 years apart. They don’t play together and fight a lot. Younger kids don’t play together in general tho. I’m gonna wait till my 2nd is 3-4 years old before we try to have another

Mine are 24 months apart. I think it’s perfect. The only issue we ran into was with potty training. It’s hard to run a toddler to the potty while you’re trying to feed an infant...so I voted for 3yrs just for that reason. But the love is there and our 2yr old is able to help get diapers and play with her little brother. She pats him on the head and holds his hand so he doesn’t cry. It’s adorable.

2 years 9 months, While unplanned, I felt like it was a great gap that my older son is becoming more self sufficient and able to understand/communicate much better. I have a friend who’s kids were 16 months apart and she would never recommend it to anyone, mainly because her second was colicky most the first year..her boys really do have a great bond though.

Because it took me 17 months to get pregnant. We started trying when my son was 1. I have endo and didn’t want to have surgery again. It took 5 years to have my son.
