My baby is 3 weeks old. He has been a great breastfeeder and has had a great match from day one. The problem is that he eats for over an hour and will then cry for more. We have been supplementing and I also pump.

Last night he breastfeed for an hour and a half until I no longer heard him swallowing anything. Then he SCREAMED for 3 hours because he was hungry. That whole time I was trying to feed him a bottle or breast. He doesn’t latch to bottles as well, but he doesn’t seem to get enough from the breast...

When I pump I get anywhere between 2 and 6 oz in an hour. It’s hard to breastfeed for over an hour every time, especially with a 3 year old running around.

On top of that I have been experiencing Vasospasms in my nipples and breasts which is painful. I’m starting to feel helpless when breastfeeding because I know that he will still be hungry after an hour, and I worry he is experiencing nipple confusion with the bottles.
