I was scared of getting the iud as well but it didnt hurt at all. My dr was really patient with putting it in and calmed me down as well. I have the non hormonal iud and its been great so far.
I had nexplanon after my first baby, the one that goes in the arm, and it was horrible for me. Made my anxiety depression worse and i bled for 3 months straight. 
Ive also tried pills and im just not good remembering  to take them lol

I have the bar in my arm and i love it. I’ve heard really good things about the IUD as well. Both are safe and effective

I’ve always used condoms until I would be comfortable with the possibility of getting pregnant. But I’ve never started my period until closer to 12 months postpartum and so haven’t gotten pregnant until after that
