I’m 12 weeks & I got my lab work done, I got the call that everything was fine no signs of any disease or Down syndrome. The best news so far. I then get a call 2 days later and they tell me that I’m a carrier for a very rare disease called ( Isovaleric acidemia ) my heart dropped because the nurse said this disease was very rare and I was a positive Carrier. Just when I thought I wasn’t going to receive any bad news I got this. Now my partner has to be tested for the same disease and I’m trying so hard to not even think about it but I’m so terrified. It’s our first baby & to even think of this is just so scary. Am I over reacting? 😞
