Why Metformin?? My glucose is normal
How many of you have had full bloodwork and hormone levels checked while ttc?
My obgyn prescribed Metformin for me because I have pcos and am TTC, but my glucose is Normal range. (These labs were even non-fasting glucose was still great) I'm changing Drs soon because she acts like my questions are a pain for her to answer, I have asked 3 times about having my progesterone checked because of my miscarriage in March (I have pcos) she won't check for it. She doesnt believe in progesterone levels being the reason I miscarried that it was likely genetic abnormalities. I responded but I still want that to be part of my bloodwork check, she went on and on why its irrelevant KNOWING I HAVE PCOS AND JUST MISCARRIED 8 WEEKS AGO. Anyway, while I'm looking for a new OBGYN...i got my lab results back a few days after I started the Metformin prescription she gave me. My labs say my glucose is absolutely normal and I had even just eaten an hour before. So can someone explain if I'm just crazy but I don't see the point in taking Metformin if MY GLUCOSE IS NORMAL. Again, I would be asking my Dr but I don't agree with how she is treating me. So while I'm looking for a new OBGYN. I wanted to know what you other ladies thoughts are on my levels from the bloodwork and about the Metformin situation. Thanks
