Sailor... Saylor has a different meaning from Sailor and has nothing to do with water. Saylor is from the French surname Sailleour, which means “leaper or dancer”. So definitely stick with Sailor if you want it to be nautical. Coming from a mom of a Saylor, I wish people would do their research on the name before trying to pass it off as a nautical name, with “unique spelling.” Not saying you will, 😊 but some people have no idea! This baby’s middle name is Navy. We are using it because it’s a color like her older sisters’ names, but it’s other meaning is nautical. I also had Harbor on my list for a girl. It’s nautical and a surname-name. Coast, Cove, Wake, coral are other ideas.
