Am I overreacting?

Question

So my boyfriend and I live together and he will play his video game for literally 10 hours a day. I don’t mind if he plays it during the day bc I’m doing my own thing but once it’s late I just want him to come hangout with me. I’ve talked to him multiple times about this and he just doesn’t understand. He is in a completely different bedroom all day. Tonight I’ve literally have had enough bc this situation has happened more than once. He tells me once more game, I go in there after an hour and he gets mad at me for getting upset bc he’s playing more, then he proceeds to yell at me and tell me to “go away” and “just get out”. All I’m asking for is some attention before I go to sleep. 
Edit: Since I “harassed” him by going in there and asking him when he’s getting off he decided to start another game. I tried to tell him how I feel and he says he doesn’t want to be around me bc I started a fight. He said and I quote “ I just really don’t want to be around you” “ can you just please leave me alone”.

This would drive me wild. Even more than that, an adult playing video games for hours on end rather than going to work or being productive around the house would drive me wild, id be gone.

Personally I would leave next time her tells you to...like leave leave. I was in a similar relationship for awhile and looking back wished ine of those night he told me to just leave him alone to play (I once had the audacity of asking when he wanted dinner since he had been in that damn game for 4 hours) that I would have just packed my stuff quietly while he played and he could emerge hours later to all my shit gone.  Really is one of my only true regrets. You deserve better than to come last and be treated that way. If he won't take heed of your feelings or seek help if it's an addiction it may be time to walk away. He will either realize what it is costing him or you will be free to find better. I'm sorry, I was in your shoes youe years. Looking back realized how much time/sadness I wasted on him. I hope things get better for you. Good luck.

He's a child, do you actually get anything out of this relationship? If he won't change I'd leave. Who wants to be with someone who literally only plays video games?

10 hours a day? Does he also have a job? Where does he found time for anything of substance? Personally I couldn't settle for this. 
On a good day i'd give him an ultimatum to cut WAY back on his usage or piss off.
On a bad day I'd rip the console from the wall and throw it under a passing car... I'm not lying! 
I sold my husbands, we were living at his mums while saving up for the last few bits for our new house while I was heavily pregnant and he thought that'd be a good time to upgrade his PlayStation 😳... WRONG! 🤦🏾‍♀️
I sold it privately the very same day seeing as he lied and tried to fob me off by saying he got it from a mate for a great deal as opposed to a shop for a shit load of money🙄 
At some point men have to stop being boys. 
(Before anyone jumps down my throat about his right to have a PS etc, my husband already had a perfectly working PS, so he had to make do with that. Funnily enough he never found the time to play again once our baby came along. That reminds me, I should sell his games 😂).

Any hobby that takes priority over a s.o. shows me he is not a man, he is immature. My husband is a guitar player and can play for hours and it doesnt bother me. But he does stop and cook food for me and ask if i need help with anything. You deserve to be a priority but perhaps your s.o. still has growing to do as a man.

No you aren’t over reacting & he may have a very serious addiction to video games. At a certain hour If I were you I would persuade him to get off the game & have activities lined up for you guys to do. In his defense he might find it bored to get off of his game and sit around with you, so if you want him to get off have something to talk about or a show to watch maybe even play a game.

Damn are you dating my husband?? Imagine if it was the other way around and you were doing your thing all day and night. You’re a person, you want affection from your man. There’s nothing wrong with that. The way you feel is totally valid. I’m telling your right now, IF HE WANTED TO, HE WOULD. So if he actually gave a fuck he would take into considerations for your feelings. They know what they are doing when they say “one more game”
