I don’t at all consider how a popular a name is. I don’t care if it’s popular. I care if I like the name.

I try to avoid anything 50 and up. I usually use the social security website to determine the popularity of a name

My kids have really basic names. I've never paid attention to whatever list that is because I dont care if the names I like are popular.

Yeah. Neither of my kids have hugely popular names, but they're not uncommon either. Their dad and I both grew up with pretty popular names, and we figured we don't hate our names because of the popularity, so we shouldn't worry about it with our kids.
