What if you were asked...

So, I'm generally just curious....
If your significant other said that out of all the people they had been with sexually,  that you were the best, how would that make you feel? 
Im 36 and I myself have only been with 5 people (my husband being the last of the 5) My husband on the other hand was wild...so no real definitive number...but it's up there. 
He claims out of his number I'm the absolute best. While honestly, I cant say the same. I mean dont get me wrong, it's REAALLY good, but the man I was with before him was unlike anything else...ever. 
I love my husband so I would never tell him that...but I tell him hes the best because I dont and couldn't ever hurt him. And its almost like he fishes for me to say it back...?
Part of me thinks he's trying to boost my ego, but really, it's like a reminder that he's had quite a few partners and it's a turn off because he remembers some? Idk...it's hard to explain. 
I'm not in any way holding against him the number of partners he's had. That was before me...long before me (we've been together for 10 years) so it's the past and I don't really care...
He just feels the need to mention "yours is the best I've ever had" every so often....and tells me he would never cheat or leave me for that very reason....🙄 . I told him before I dont need the reassurance or reminder and that it's kind of weird. 
Or maybe I'm weird for thinking its weird?

I think you're thinking way too much about this. The man's been with you for 10 years, I'm sure he's stuck around for more than pussy. I think you are taking it really literally as if every time he says it he's gone through a mental checklist comparing you to other people. Ask him what he's thinking of when he says it, I promise, this isn't it.
Have you considered he might be trying to communicate he feels a deeper, stronger connection with you? You might consider asking at a nonsexual time what, exactly, he means by that. Talk to the man. If it still bugs you, ask him to not say it and explain what it makes you think of.

Everyone says their current is the best to their current😂 that’s a given haha jokes aside I’ve heard from exes about “being the best” like in the beginning of dating etc but not something continually brought up out of nowhere especially yrs later. My current will say things like your the best, I never want to lose you, I never want to share you etc but never compares me.. he says he can’t even remember anyone else cause it’s been too long and once he did me he forgot about them 😂 which I know he’s full of shit but he better say that lol

I would honestly believe him. I know for a fact that he’s never been able to be this open and comfortable with anyone. We’ve done things he’s never trusted anyone else to do.

It's kind of weird he says that this is why he wouldn't cheat on you... it kinda it's pressure on you to perform your best every time so he won't think of his exes. I'm with you, it's unnecessary. Maybe he thinks it's a real compliment though.
