Are couples suppose to text everyday ? Speacially if they have been together for long time ?

Me and my SO live together and we only text if there is something important throughout the day, but we both work so somedays we don’t text at all. If we didn’t live together I would expect a call or text when we were home from work.

We live together and have been together 5 years, to this day we still text while we’re away at work. It feels weird not to lol! We both have desk job so it’s easy. But to each their own :)

If one or both are working or busy then no.. every now and again when ur both free.. just to check on each other.. is normal.

I think it depends on the couple. My bf and I both work nights but he works 5 nights (Monday through Friday, 8 hours) and I work 3 nights (varied schedule, 12 hours). So there are nights when one of us is home and the other works so if the one that's home is asleep we end up not texting. If we're both at work, we might have time to text or might not. If we're both off, we're usually together, especially with the quarantine going on. Other couples who don't live together or just aren't that chatty might text different amounts.

My husband and I have been together for 10 years, married for 3.5. Sometimes we go weeks without texting. Most of the time our texts are “pick up milk on your way home” or “hey, I’m working late tonight so and so screwed shit up and I have to fix it”. We don’t have actual conversations 😂

I mean, we live together so we do not text every day. We use texts as an fyi or reminders. "Running late at work" "please stop at store if possible" etc. It has never been a source of actual conversation for us, we call if we have something to say but we like to hang out at night and talk about our day. 
When one of us is gone we usually just talk on the phone before bed.

Personally if you live together and you work there is no need for texting each other unless it’s important. With that being said my fiancé he will always text me on my lunch just to ask how my day is going etc if we needed anything from the shops as he gets home before me.
