Dog question? I need a little help.
So, this has absolutely nothing to do with babies or my body. But, I need a little help with my dog. So, if there's any vets or vet techs or someone that knows a lot about dogs, I could use your advice. And I'm sorry if I'm posting in a wrong group. I didn't really know where to put this.
So, I have a Boykin spaniel. She's about 18 months old. We recently just moved into a new home(been here about a month and a half). We tried building her a fenced in area outside to put her in when she goes to the bathroom and to get some fresh air, but she kept digging holes and getting out. We live by a BUSY road, so it's not really good for her to be roaming around, so she's been staying inside the house in a large kennel and we let her go outside a few times during the day. We don't let her out in the house too much because we have a 17 month old baby and our dog is a little rough and will jump on her a lot. But we're working on a solution for the outside situation, so we can let her out during the day and bring her in at night when the baby goes to bed. Anyway, the past day and a half, our dog has been pooping and peeing like CRAZY! She had never pooped in her kennel before, but she has today and yesterday and is constantly peeing. Whenever she needs to use the bathroom, she'll whine a little and mess with the kennel. So, I always let her outside and she'll pee and poop outside. She's been constantly doing it. I have to let her out every 30 minutes to an hour and she'll use the bathroom and it's like she hasn't used it in forever, but she was just out. She wouldn't even sleep through the night. She always sleeps great at night. We had to let her out twice in the middle of the night. We did recently change her food, but that's been over a week ago. I mean, if it was the food change, wouldn't she have gotten this days ago? We don't feed her human food. Every once in a while we will, but that's very rare. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this or knows anything I could do? If this continues tomorrow, I'll most likely take her to the vet, but just thought I'd ask for some advice? I've looked it up online, but I can't really find anything.
