First scan, experiences?

Hi ladies! I have my first scan on Tuesday. I'll be 8w 2d. I'm very nervous as I had a mmc last last year. This is a scan appt only,  my OB appt is scheduled at 12 weeks.  I'm not sure what to expect. Will the tech tell me if this is a viable pregnancy or show me the images?  Should I bring my husband?  How did this appointment go for you?

Answer

Well because of COVID, my husband couldn’t come with me. But yes, they show you the ultrasound as they scan you. If they can’t see clearly using abdominal US, then they’ll go in with a transvaginal US. Don’t worry because it’s still early, some women need the second US. 
At 8w+ you should def hear and see a heartbeat!!
