Generally, i don’t think it is.
I think it does depend on the person buying them though. If they’re a racist that disrespects other cultures including the one that they’re taking inspiration from, then yeah I’d say it’s cultural appropriation.

The second one is very much tied to the black community so yes and no. If the person is on here talking about how blm is racist and put their baby in something like this, it’s immediate hands.

This is such a frustrating topic to me because there are so many cultures that borrow from each other’s traditions/styles ALL THE TIME. Dutch braids, French braids, cornrows, head wraps, hair bows... all originated in one or multiple cultures. People wear European styles without batting an eye and with no care for the meaning or history behind them. Fashion is so rapidly changing and recycles old ideas all the time.

I was a bald baby. My mom had me in these in the 80s. It kept people from asking if I had cancer and being Florida, to prevent sunburn. Head coverings are used throughout many cultures and religions, and it isn’t appropriation to wear them for their intended purpose...to cover the head.

The second one is worn a lot by Muslim women who may not want to wear the full hijab. Honestly, who cares...like why does it even matter? We are supposed to be evolved to the point of not seeing color or drawing lines in the sand...yet we keep finding reasons to separate everyone. Its getting old. Let kids be cute in anything/everything.
