Sex after birth ....?

I gave birth exactly 2 weeks ago and we have not had sex yet but bleeding has almost completely gone and im not in pain i did not tear this tine around but was wondering do i have to wait the full 6 weeks or can i just wait 3 or 4?? We are fully capable of waiting the full time to not have complications or issues but it would be nice to have that sexy time again as well
Having sex isn’t that important i was just asking for my own personal insight, sorry to have upset so many people

No! You’re supposed to wait until dr clears you. Doesn’t matter how fine you feel. You have a plate sized wound trying to heal. Sex is not worth it. You’re risking infection.

You have a dinner plate sized open wound inside you that is incredibly susceptible to infection and complications if you don’t wait until at least 6 weeks after giving birth.

I waited two weeks with my husband and it was the most painful sex I have ever had in my life. Didn’t help that I tore with our kid. Def wait. It may sound like a good idea but all the lube in the world won’t save you from the pain. Oh and yeah, we stopped after like 3 minutes. It was that bad.

I had sex 3 weeks after i gave birth with no problems and now I’m 6 weeks pregnant (3 months postpartum). 
I wish i would’ve waited and actually went to my check up to get on birth control but they kept pushing it back and doing over the phone appointments.

You should ask your dr. Some dr release patient to resume normal activity at 4 weeks. However that is the bare minimum, earliest. And not because bleeding or tearing, due to that fact that and organ the placenta is not longer attached leaving a gaping wound inside of your body, bacteria could make its way in and cause an infection if you resume sex before you are healed.

We waited till after 6 weeks I guess even more . My hubby was patient so when we tried after the many weeks of waiting I felt a bit of pain but as we went on it eased up.  But as soon as Doc clears you then you good to go.
