Birth control while breastfeeding ?

Has anyone taken birth control pill while breastfeeding? I am worried about the hormones my baby would get also worried about my supply.. or milk being affected by this?? I just want what is healthiest for baby !!

The mini pill was the only one recommended to me as it is a progesterone pill instead of estrogen so it’s not supposed to effect milk supply. I’ve had no issues. You have to take it at the same time every day and there are no “off” days or white pills

I tried the mini pill with my first.  It completely destroyed my supply 😫 I refused to try it with my second and third and had an oversupply with them.

I’ve always just used condoms until I would be comfortable getting pregnant. But so far breastfeeding has suppressed my period for about a year. Not a guarantee, but condoms are better then messing with my hormones, getting migraines, and gaining weight
