Vitamin e oil and pregnancy

So I just read that too much vitamin e oil can cause birth defects. I’m 8 weeks and have been using this vitamin e oil on my face and now I’m slightly worried lol. I’m sure I’m worried over nothing because I use like a drop on my face a day and I am going to stop but did anyone else use this oil and we’re fine?

There are so many don’ts in pregnancy lol
