my mother in law gives my baby 40-60 ml of water after every feeding and he's only 2 months old!!!idk what to do she said that she used to do that with her kids

Absolutely not. Stand up for yourself and your baby.

They used to do that, but it's no longer considered safe. You can send her information and offer for her to confirm with the pediatrician. But if she won't let up, she can't watch your baby anymore. Saying "well I did it and y'all survived" doesn't cut it. Our grandparents used to give their babies whisky for teething and drive with the baby laying on the front seat, yeah their kids survived, but that doesn't make it fine lol

That’s extremely dangerous and can cause baby’s electrolytes to be off balance. Before 6 months baby should only have breast milk or formula

Idk anything about the water and safety of it but it irks me that parents and grandparents think it’s fine to do what they did with us. A lot of things are different to what it used to be like for a reason. If you don’t feel comfort with it,  tell her and make sure she doesn’t do it anymore.

This is why I won’t let my kids see my in laws. With own parents we can say something easily but with the in laws they get so sensitive and like to talk about how you don’t know how to raise a kid and I’ve done it plenty of times. My mother wants my in laws to take care of my kids and I will disagree with that. Don’t want them to grow up to be like them. Luckily my husband agrees too. 
Take your baby away from her!!! Tell her that’s not how it’s done now in the modern world.

My mother in law has lots of advice too that's really out of date especially when it comes to eating and sleeping. It definitely makes me wary of letting her watch my little girl one day. It's so hard to get them to accept that it isn't ok without being really rude and ruining the relationship. But since yours is actually doing something so unsafe you need to find a way to stop her
