8 week ultrasound

I went in for my first ultrasound at 8 weeks and the radiologist didn't say much she only asked me and my husband if they told us if we were only expecting one baby.. we looked at each other and replied yes only one thinking she was going to say there were multiple the way she asked us the question like she's doing the ultrasound and is asking us that but after we replied she stayed quiet and thats it ...was that weird that she could of seen something else and not told us or normal ?
