Finding Maddie McCann

Today I woke up and had an e-mail from a news website where they had BREAKING NEWS regarding the disappearing of Maddie McCann... (just a new suspect, no real evidence)

And the updates and media attention around the case always bothered me.

It gets me kind of pissed.

Now..

Don't get me wrong!

I don't mind that the media is focussing on a missing child. But SO MANY hildren go missing..

And no other child gets this kind of attention from media or law enforcement.

And that's what bothers me.

I think it would be a slap in the face to all who've ever had a child missing and were turned away by law enforcement in first occasion - because they usually turn up soon - to then have a case opened and closed within a year or a few years.

They're actively looking for this kid for 13 years now, made a netflix show and everything.

No other case has ever been this high profile.

Again, I don't think it doesn't deserve this attention, I think it's hypocrite to think no other case should be as high profile.

No other kid has been searched for as extensive worldwide.

Just to give you an example..

Other missing kids, where I am, they get a poster. That's it. Maybe 1 news report.

Parents posting in social media because the police turns them away or aren't handling the case with propper care..
