Help brushing your toddlers teeth

Does anyone have any advice/tips on brushing your toddlers teeth? We have been doing it since he got his first tooth at 6 months. However, it’s a struggle every time and it seems like we barely brush them, especially now that he has more teeth. Lately he’s been pushing out the toothbrush with his tongue and that’s made it harder. I don’t want to make him hate it by forcing him, but we need to clean them. We’ve been singing songs, look in the mirror, brush our teeth in front of him. We just aren’t making any progress. Thanks!
