Third Nipple + Breastfeeding
Yikes, it’s an uncomfortable topic for me... but I’m getting increasingly nervous about my breastfeeding journey and I’m 40w+5d and getting induced on Saturday 6/6 with my rainbow baby. 😬😅
One of my boobs has a legit 2nd nipple, on the outer edge of my existing areola with my “traditional” (lol) nipple. It has a bit of breast tissue around it as well, but that area/the 3rd nipple doesn’t really have any feeling or anything. It’s just there, protruding. Lol It’s hard to explain, but it’s more than just one of the instances of a random, tiny, flat ‘3rd nipple’ a lot of people have under their boobs on their milk line. 😂
Anyways, PRIOR to getting pregnant during regular gyno. visits, my doctor has said it’s purely cosmetic and and there isn’t really a medical issue with it as far as she is concerned. However - now I’m kind of freaking out that it’s going to prevent me from being able to breastfeed successfully. I can’t find ANY information about this, even after scouring the internet for months. Everything I can find seems to not really fit my exact situation. Stresssssed.
I’m sure it’s a long shot — but has anyone dealt with this before? Any advise or insight is hugely appreciated.
