You can lose your plug and it can regenerate it self so it doesn't always mean you will go into labor soon.

I lost my plug during labor.

Didn't lose any until I was well into the heat of labor!

I didn't lose it, but I had my water break first on its own, then I went into labor maybe 2 hours later. (I was only 34 weeks and my water broke at home and I didn't know)

Lost it when my waters went at 7cm, 3hrs before she was born lol
