Have you ever become pregnant while breastfeeding?

I’ve been breastfeeding for 22 months and my period came back 5 months ago. My OBGYN said although I’m getting my period, I’m probably not ovulating yet because I’m still breastfeeding. 
Who has become pregnant while breastfeeding? I was planning to start TTC again soon so I guess we’ll see, but I do hope I’m ovulating.

You can pee on ￼ ovulation sticks to see if you’re actually ovulating. It’s pretty simple. 
Your OB shouldn’t make statements like that. Plenty of ppl get pregnant while breastfeeding. It’s not a form of birth control.

With all of my kids I was breastfeeding when I got pregnant I'm pregnant with baby number 4 now and still breastfeeding my son my doctor tried to tell me the same thing

I have not. BUT you certainly can.
Mama Doctor Jones on YouTube (check her out if you haven’t) does an excellent video on this. When breastfeeding as birth control baby must be:
1) Exclusively breastfed (no pumping or supplementing or solids)
2) Your period must not have started back.
Otherwise you can assume that you are ovulating. And even then you can still fall pregnant!
Fun fact, you are also slightly more likely to have twins when breastfeeding!! Weird.

So I got my period back at 9 monthspp...i am now almost 12monthspp and I didnt get another period, I tested when I was 2 weeks 'late' because I just thought it had come back irregular (which they kind of did? I didnt ovulate at the 'normal' time) and here I am, somewhere between 7-9weeks pregnant 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Period came back at 12 weeks EBF. Got pregnant at 8 month PP while still breastfeeding every 3 hours. Definitely possible. I also had to have fertility treatments to get pregnant with my first.
