This morning I woke up super early to my husband kissing me and just caressing me. He said he couldn't sleep anymore and was slowly trying to wake me up since he had no work today and wanted to spend as much time as possible together this weekend.

We get up, turn on our PS4's and game it up. As we're playing we laugh and have fun as usual..there was a moment as I heard him laugh that I thought to myself how lucky we are to share the same love of gaming.

Contrary to what people may think, gamers aren't just lazy or put off everything else in life to play. Our home is well kept and we both have full time jobs. Due to pandemic I work from home M-F and he is an essential worker for a disaster recovery service which sometimes means he's working all night,on call or 6 days a week.

We know our priorities, and I'm grateful we both are working right now when a lot are struggling. But I just wanted it to be said about how lucky we both are to enjoy some of the same hobbies.

In his previous relationship, the girl hated gaming, despised it and forbid him from it pretty much. I've seen posts on here of others saying the same. And I get it, but maybe because I've gamed since i was a kid I know how enjoyable it is. So next time before you try to force something, try to be understanding. Maybe grab a controller and just have fun with it.

Honestly there are times where I'd rather do other things so I'm reading or watching a show while he's gaming right next to me and it's still fun. We don't have to always do the same things, I'm just glad we can be happy and enjoy a lot of those things together.
