I am from an island, all my family lives there but I don't live there anymore.

I want alone time with my husband and baby when my son comes, I believe that having someone staying at our place would be more worrisome than helpful since we are pretty independent. I don't even want my mom to stay with us, although I would love her to meet her first grandson.

Hopefully I will deliver by the end of July. To visit my family I would have to take a plane that's just one hour and 15 min long.

Has any of you been on a similar situation? If so, how old was your baby when you flew? Was he alright? How many days was your trip? Where did you stay when you visited your family? My parents don't have room for us, is an hotel ok?
