Tracking DPO

Hi, this might sound really stupid but wondering if someone could please shed some light on this for me,

So, we are currently in our TWW. Trying to figure out how many days past ovulation we are, do we start counting DPO from the day we inseminated? From the day we got our first ovulation test? (we had two days of positives) or from 24/36 hours after the positives?

Any help would be grateful, thank you xx
