Switching to Vitamin D milk
Hello! So this might sound like a dumb question, but I’m a FTM and I haven’t seen our Pediatrician since my daughter was 6 months old, her 9 month was canceled. I started giving my daughter whole milk about a week ago mixed with formula. She was about 11 1/2 months. Started with 1-2 oz. I’m up to about 3 oz milk / 2-3 oz formula. Her first and last bottle of the day is usually more though, roughly 7-8 oz. I do warm it but she drinks it just fine. I will be out of formula probably in the next several days so my question is do I continue mixing for awhile longer or can I completely switch to whole milk even shy of her first Birthday? She will be 1 on the 19th.
Also does it matter what brand? I just got the regular Kroger vitamin D milk but I’ve seen posts where some Moms gave almond milk instead. Is this just a preference? My daughter doesn’t have any allergies or dairy issues. That we know of. And my last question is what is the max amount she can have in 1 day? She currently takes roughly 3-4 bottles a day. If I had to guess, she’s probably drinking roughly 18-22oz a day. Shes not quite taken to a sippy yet so that’s a whole other issue I’m working on. I will say she’s been a bit more interested in it lately than she was several weeks ago. So maybe we are getting somewhere.. Thanks in advance!
