Potty training - favorite potty to use??

Question

Any favorites out there for potty training? 
We were thinking about this potty for our little. Thoughts?
Any favorite books or approaches?? I’ve no idea what I’m getting myself into. I looked on IG at the Potty Training Consultants ecourse and it’s like $480... no thank you! We can’t afford that! Need some help in this department.

We got a toilet seat for the regular toilet that has a flip down kids seat. It is so nice because we don’t have extra potty chairs around and it’s all built in. We found it on amazon. My parents and in-laws have one too.
We bribed with stickers. She had to fill a sheet (like 25 stickers) and then she got to pick out a prize. She got things like a box of candy or dress up gloves.

I like the getting a potty seat for the regular toilet and a stool. Don’t want to clean those little potties out. Remember it is a process and fully potty training with no accidents and them remembering on their own can take months to 2 years if you include nights. So don’t get impatient.

Our son loved the board book Potty by Leslie Patricelli. (I tired to put in an image of it but my phone isn't cooperating). We used both the seat on the floor and the the seat for the toilet. We got a seat that could be used as a step stool afterwards which my son still uses the step stool portion and he is 5. We would put him on the potty every 45 mins or so and read stories and make a big deal when something came out. He was 2 1/2 and he got the hang of it pretty quickly.

I just read forums and mommy blogs. I did use the potty you posted. It has a higher lip for boys which was helpful. My biggest piece of advice is make sure they are ready. My son was almost 3 before he was really ready. I tried multiple times but just before his third birthday, it clicked so then it only took 3-4 days.

Check your local library for books, read them, and then do what works for you and your family.

This is the one we have & love, great for smaller toddlers because it sits lower to the ground than a lot of other ones
