Hi there!! I’m possibly going on a flight a couple states away next month, with a guaranteed layover. But I am 17, and I don’t even know how to drive, so I feel really nervous. My mom makes me even more nervous because she treats me like a child, given I am the youngest of my family.

Anyways, I really need some encouragement and maybe some advice please, I feel so nervous going independently. What if I run into a creep? I mean I’m not entirely a child, I’m a hs senior who knows how to handle herself but I can’t help but worry.

Note: It’s to visit my long-distance boyfriend, I know it sounds silly especially for my age I get that a lot(especially from mum) but we’re really close with each other, we FaceTime almost twice daily. We’re about to go to college, and I really want to see him before we part even further away.
