I wouldn’t before having my 6 week appointment. I’m 5 weeks PP now. I have a second degree tear, I’m going to hold off on sex for awhile even if cleared.

I waited until I was cleared after 6 weeks. I will probably wait until 6 weeks again but it’s a phone call not an in office appointment so I’ll see when I still bleeding how I’m feeling lol I had my daughter on May 26th so I still have time but damn it’s not easy

Whenever I haven’t been bleeding for over a week! I didn’t have any tearing and feel pretty good so once the spotting subsides, it’s on! 6 weeks is an arbitrary number - some women are fully healed at 3-4 weeks, others may still be healing at 10-12. Trust your body!

I waited till 6 weeks pp with my first and ended up getting pregnant with my second 🙃 I had a third degree tear with my first and “inebriated and lubricated” a little too well. 
However I have a third degree tear this time too and as much as I want sex it sounds painful and I’m not ready yet ( babe born May 7th).
I would wait till at least 6 weeks to avoid getting an infection.
