Stop swaddling?

My son is 4 months old and can pretty consistently roll from tummy to back. He recently began to break one or even both arms out of his velcro swaddle. My question is if now would be the time to wean him from the swaddle? Everything I've researched says rolling is a cue but doesn't specify tummy or back. Just curious what worked for you ladies!

Yep, for sure. I highly recommend trying a zipadee zip! But it's back to belly, they need to be able to lift their head and turn it to the side and it's very difficult to do that without arms

Yes! Our ped said at 8 wks they recommended to stop swaddling arms in bc of their ability to roll

Yes, stop swaddling. They need their arms to be able to roll. Try a sleep sac instead! There are ones where their arms are free so then you don’t have to worry about it & they just zip up!

He should be laying on his back. If he's laying on his back and rolls to his tummy that would be a problem and yes I would stop swaddling. Back is best!

Yup you need to stop swaddling. It’s no longer safe. Try an arms free sleep sack instead.
